Charitable programs

The Foundation is able to finance projects that allow beneficiaries to “dream together” and train for the realization of a significant achievement thanks to the funds raised by Montreal-New York Challenge participants. Participants win in health and in energy as they build their personal self-confidence and self-esteem to forge their resilience.

Mont Washington Challenges

Since 2012, a total of 60 single parents have registered in the five-month long preparation needed to hike the Presidential Range, including Mt. Washington. The preparation included 15 collective surpassment sessions, individualized follow ups, workshops and conferences. The participants were divided into five teams and hiked three summits in two days.

“The Challenge gave me physical and mental harmony. The processes taught us to not only help others but also accept help from others”. Nathalie Turgeon-Participant

The breadth of the Challenge involves 15 to 18 hours of hiking in difficult weather conditions and demands that participants put into practice the collaboration and interdependence processes to break the isolation. The Challenge creates a feeling of belonging, faith in one’s capacities (a feeling of individual and collective efficiency), positive mental focus, but also frank and non-defensive communication based on trust. These mechanisms contribute to boosting self-confidence and forging resilience

This is a demanding Challenge that requires motivation, availability and commitment. Are you ready?
